Gail Seay

Gail Seay, Founder & Lead Consultant

Gail Seay, Senior Consultant at Educational Consultants Collaborative, brings over 40 years of international education and leadership experience to her role. Formerly the Director of Teaching and Learning at the American School of Doha, Qatar, Gail has also served in international schools in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the United States, and her native Australia.

Throughout her career, Gail has authored curriculum at both state and school levels, and piloted state-level assessments. She holds degrees from institutions in the United States and Australia, with her teaching experience spanning kindergarten through grade 12.

As Chairperson of the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools' Professional Development Advisory Committee, Gail played a pivotal role in conference planning and collaborated with prominent educational thought leaders. She was a faculty member of the AERO project (American Education Reaches Out) from 2004 to 2019, teaching courses at the Summer AERO Institute in English/Language Arts, Curriculum Mapping, and Academic Leadership.

Gail's consultancy work focuses on educational ecosystems, curriculum development, goal setting, data analysis, teacher leadership, strategic planning, and board training in international schools. She also mentors leadership through the WISE Project and has presented at various conferences including the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools, Qatar Foundation Teaching and Learning Forum, American Education Reaches Out Summer Institute, and the Visible Learning Conference. Gail has served as a consultant to several international schools.

Believing in the power of intentional system-building within educational ecosystems, Gail emphasizes middle-level leadership development to enhance teacher effectiveness and foster collaborative cultures within educational institutions. She is a registered board member through the Australian Institute of Company Directors and currently serves on the board of a prominent private school in Queensland, Australia.

Colby Seay

Colby Seay, Consultant, Higher Education

Colby Seay has been in international education since he was born. Having parents that taught overseas, Colby grew up in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Qatar.

 

Colby earned a masters of science in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Texas A&M University. During his program, Colby maintained a focus on international education administration, Third Culture Kid support, and global cultural competence assessment. Colby has presented on these issues at NASPA, the NASPA International Symposium, MENSAS NASPA, NODA, and Texas A&M at Qatar LAIC. Colby is also an active member and participant of NAFSA and EAIE. 

 

Colby has held leadership positions in international education at the University of Georgia, and the American University of Sharjah. Colby has also held roles in international education at the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, and Texas A&M University at Qatar.

 

Colby’s professional passion is connecting students with international experiences, assisting TCKs through the transition to collegiate life, and the assessment of global citizenship.

Lynette Lingard, Consultant, EAL

Lynette Lingard

Lynette is an EAL/D and literacy specialist offering EAL/D consulting services and professional development workshops for schools and teachers. Her workshops cover many and varied aspects of Literacy support, EAL/D support and multicultural understanding. Lynette has been working as an independent consultant and PD provider internationally and across Australia since 2017.

Having worked in the EAL/D field in Queensland State Education since 1997, Lynette has extensive experience in providing EAL/D and literacy support to schools. She understands the needs of EAL/D students, their teachers and their schools. Her expertise in this area has helped numerous teachers to understand and implement effective literacy teaching and learning practices within a supportive pedagogy. She is also an ardent believer in providing a culturally supportive environment and relishes showing schools and teachers how to go about this.

Lynette is a passionate and engaging presenter, and her workshops are always rewarded with extremely positive feedback from teachers.

In addition, Lynette works with Lexis Education as a consultant and Tutor Trainer to present their highly regarded teacher training courses in Australia and internationally. In 2025, she is working with the Victorian Department of Education on a year-long project to provide Professional Learning to support all Victorian state school teachers to use the EAL curriculum to teach and assess their EAL learners. Lynette is passionate about supporting schools and teachers to understand and cater to the needs of their EAL/D students, and the pedagogy she advocates aligns with the literacy needs of all students.

Lynette's experience includes the following roles: classroom teacher, EAL/D Specialist, EAL/D Principal Advisor (Education QLD), Lexis Education Teacher Trainer, EAL/D Consultant with experience in Australia and internationally. She is based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, but Zoom makes anything possible.

Anita Reilly, Consultant, Social Studies

Anita Reilly

Anita Reilly is a seasoned middle school classroom teacher specializing in Language Arts and Social Studies at the American School of Doha. In 2019, she consulted on the adaptation of the AERO social studies standards, ensuring alignment with the C3 Inquiry Arc to enhance social science instruction. Anita serves as a lead social studies trainer for AERO social studies and frequently presents at international schools throughout the Middle East and Southern Europe.

 

Anita's extensive experience includes working at international schools in Austria, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. She has also served as a researcher for the US government and as a university-level history instructor.

 

Her presentations focus on the application of AERO social studies standards, the C3 Inquiry Arc, and the integration of AI as a tool in planning, instruction, and feedback.
